In QHHT®, “The Subconscious” (or “The SC”) is the term Dolores Cannon used for a level of consciousness beyond the everyday conscious mind.
She described it as the greater part of ourselves that remains connected to a higher source of knowledge and understanding. You may also be familiar with similar concepts described as the Higher Self, Higher Consciousness, Oversoul or Universal Mind.
During a QHHT® session, the practitioner seeks to establish communication with this deeper level of consciousness. The client can then explore questions about their life, relationships, experiences, purpose or wellbeing from a different perspective.
According to Cannon’s teachings, The SC provides only the information that is appropriate and beneficial for the individual at that particular time.
Dolores Cannon: What is the Subconscious? (2'49'')
A different meaning of “subconscious”
It is important to note that Cannon's use of “The Subconscious” is not the same as the psychological or medical definition of the subconscious mind.
Her terminology comes specifically from her decades of work with hypnosis and the spiritual framework she developed through QHHT®.
You don't need to arrive with a particular belief — curiosity and an open mind are enough.
The Power of Thought & Intention
Our thoughts, beliefs and expectations can influence how we perceive and experience ourselves and the world around us.
Within Dolores Cannon’s approach to QHHT®, this idea provides a framework for exploring consciousness beyond our everyday patterns of thinking and opening ourselves to different perspectives and possibilities.
The purpose is not to ask you to accept a particular belief, but simply to approach the experience with curiosity and an open mind.
